MARY MARY MARY.

Hey lovelies!
Had to post this which was in the supplement of vogue in May! It was something I was determined to try and recreate myself, buttttttt I opted for a more floral version instead which I will post in the next few days!

Mary Katrantzou has always caught my eye regarding creativity in her pieces, but this little vogue workshop showed the designers brains going back to their graduate show status; all about originality. I pulled Mary's creation out of the supplement to show you anyway.

Sooooooo! This got me wanting to get all arts and crafty again. Probably because I'm trying so hard to save money on buying new clothes to go away, so I thought I'd try and jazz up some of the old stuff I've got. These were my inspiration. But MY final piece looks entirely different to these beauties. You'll see them in a few days, suspense. I would advise anyone though, instead of heading to Toppers, or ebay, or wherever you go to pay rocket prices for 'vintage' denim shorts, usually levis which have been studded and whacked up to £45.

Well go to a charity shop. Look for jeans. You'll probably come away with quadruple the amount you wanted, but it's worth it, you can get about 5 pairs for £12 or something ridiculous. I much prefer buying them properly vintage anyway, my waist is quite small so if I buy shorts from Toppers or the rest of the high street, they're too baggy, whereas the vintage ones are nipped in at the waist more.

Then you're free to purchase as many frilly bits or studs or whatever to decorate them. I've had so much fun with my 10 pairs of jeans. It's ended up with me taking 13 pairs of shorts on holiday. FUN.

So come back and see my little DIY shorts, they're extremely summery and cost less than a pair in Internacionale!

Lots o Love
